This picture shows a group of Lemi children fishing in a stream. The Lemi people are an ethnic group living in Paletwa Township, Chin State, Myanmar. They usually live in small villages surrounded by mountains and forests and have a close relationship with nature.
Their lives are often difficult and challenging. They face problems such as poor transportation, limited economic opportunities, and difficulties in accessing education. Because of these hardships, children often help their families from a young age by fishing, farming, and doing other daily tasks.
Despite these challenges, Lemi children are hardworking and resilient. They love nature and learn valuable life skills from their surroundings. The scene of them fishing in the flowing stream reflects the simple yet strong spirit of the Lemi people and their determination to live and support their families.
